<International Circulation>: The diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis is your area of expertise. What advances have been seen in the diagnosis of myocarditis especially with respect to imaging and endomyocardial biopsy?
<International Circulation>: With the high-sensitivity of the markers you have described there, particularly high-sensitivity troponin, would you consider using these markers prophylactically or only in the presence of other risk factors?
Dr Liu: I would be concerned that if you have a very sensitive marker and you apply it to many people, you will get many positive findings. I think the appropriate approach is to gather a group of patients with a reasonable likelihood of developing heart failure and in that setting, when you apply the test, you would enhance your diagnostic approach.
