<International Circulation>: What factors were considered for course arrangement and selection of presentation titles for EuroPCR at CIT2010?
Prof. Marco: The main object of these conversations is to exchange points of view between cardiologists working in China and cardiologists working in Europe. So we have selected some topics in order to discover whether or not there are any differences in daily practice between China and Europe. EuroPCR is the official meeting of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Intervention, which is part of the European Society of Cardiology, and our mission is to participate actively in education and release of information in the field of interventional cardiology. We are trying to look at local practices because if you want to participate in educational activities in different parts of the world, the first step is to understand the unmet needs and daily practices in different countries. Then we can have an exchange between key opinion leaders in order to understand if there are any gaps between the guidelines and clinical practices. We can then learn from each other and take action to decrease these gaps through eduction.
